I have noticed that this type of background is mainly used on fashion sites. It`s interesting but the result will be a minimalistic look.

I agree Bogdan. I have never created a site like one of these, but it has inspired me to do so.

I also agree. The minimalist look of these types of sites is often helped with really nice typography for the brand logo. I think Stone Soup and Maud from the examples demonstrate this well. (The navigation from the Nicolas Wills website is sick!)
